Steps to Get Started

1. Let Us Know Where You Were Married To begin the process, please tell us which of the following city offices in Okinawa you were married at:

  • Ginowan City Office
  • Chatan Town Office
  • Okinawa City Office

  • Onna Village Office
  • Nago City Office
  • Kitanakagusuku Village Office
  • Yomitan Village Office

If your city office isn’t listed, don’t worry—just let us know where you were married, and we can still assist you. We can also help if you were married elsewhere in Japan. Simply provide the details, and we’ll take care of the rest.

2. Provide the Necessary Information To reissue your Japanese Marriage Certificate, we’ll need the following details:

  • If you have an old or photocopy of the original document, please send it to us.
  • If you don’t have a copy, we’ll need:
    • Full names of both parties (as written in your passports before marriage, including maiden names)
    • Birthdates of both parties
    • Nationalities of both parties
    • Date of marriage
    • Most importantly, the city, town, or village office where you were married. If you don’t remember this information, we can consult with you to determine the correct city office.

3. Payment and Delivery Once we have all the required information, we’ll send you an invoice for payment via credit card. After payment is confirmed, we will reissue the Japanese Marriage Certificate and express mail it to you using EMS Courier.
